About the role:

Join Takeda as a Scientist, Inflammation and Immunology where you will work independently as a Scientific contributor or as a project lead in early-stage, matrixed teams to identify and characterize new targets in autoimmune disease research. You will also develop and oversee novel scientific projects and will manage the work of others directly or in a matrixed structure.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
You will provide deep scientific expertise in immunology, IBD and autoimmune disease acting as a subject matter expert, contributing to assessments of potential collaborations with external partners.
You will support early clinical candidate selection and to design in vitro and in vivo studies and to execute or manage the execution of in vitro preclinical pharmacology studies that support clinical development.
Collaborate with others and acts as scientific resource for programs.
Independently develop solutions and strategies within own expertise while using breadth of knowledge of other disciplines.
Participate in early clinical candidate selection and asset characterization in support of clinical trials.
Ensure the appropriate conduct of studies, lead the interpretation of study results, and prepare study reports suitable for internal or regulatory use.
Scientifically assesses and recommend vendors, and outsources nonclinical studies to appropriate contract research organizations.
Prepare detailed protocols / SOPs that enable transfer of validated assays to project team members and collaborators.
Demonstrate broad knowledge of immunology, autoimmune disease and the principles and experimental techniques needed for identifying targets and validating therapeutic candidates.
Can independently design and execute complex experiments
Experience presenting at scientific meetings.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
PhD degree in a scientific discipline (or equivalent), or
MS with 6+ years relevant experience, or BS with 8+ years relevant experience

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$108,500.00 - $170,500.00
The estimated salary range reflects
an anticipated
range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education

, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
