Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelors degree - C-TAGME certification preferred - Minimum of 1-3 years related experience preferred • Prior experience working as residency of fellowship program coordinator, or experience with graduate medical education, is highly preferred - Understands the dynamics and objectives of Emergency Medicine (EM) Residency and its relationship with Harbor- UCLA and affiliated institutions • Understands of the management structure of the EM Residency and maintains effective relationships with necessary parties • Understands general human resource functions and principals • Basic understanding of financial and budgetary processes and principles • Understands principles of record keeping, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance • Familiar with accreditation requirements, to include ACGME rules, and those of all other governing agencies • Understands the policies and functions of the Program Director, department and primary institution, and implements these policies within prescribed limits of authority • Understands ERAS software and applications • Demonstrates proficiency with computer applications, online resources, and equipment utilized by Department • Highly organized; capable of prioritizing and completing competing tasks • Demonstrates initiative, critical thinking skills, and adaptability • Able to utilize resources effectively • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work as a member of a team • Ability to work well under pressure and meet multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines • Ability to interact in an appropriate and professional manner • Demonstrated cooperative behavior and positive-problem solving and conflict resolution skills • Available to work dependable, flexible shift

Description of Duties : - Day-to-day coordination of Emergency Medicine Residency Program, to include managing work flow; supervising paperwork; record keeping; establishing procedures and systems • Maintains documentation of curriculum, accreditation documents, manuals, etc. • Maintains knowledge of all current requirements (medical licensure, immigrations policies, ACGME accreditation and institutional requirements) • Coordinates on scheduling with Program Director (PD) and Chief Residents • Ongoing communication with residents and fellows regarding policies, procedures, trainings • Leads preparations for accreditation site visits • Compiles, updates, and submits reports to ACGME/AOA and other professional organizations • Coordinates administration of ABEM or ACOEP National In-training Examinations • Prepares and distributes all post-graduation EM verifications • Serves as Program representative to other hospital offices, the public, and/or outside agencies in administrative matters • Responds to inquiries regarding residency, fellowship, student rotations, and other training issues • Manages initial contacts and correspondence for recruitment purposes; implements recruitment plan; develops recruitment materials • Oversee ERAS installation and applications for department • Manage review of applications; coordinate interviews, recruitment social activities • Track evaluation scores; prepare and submit final rank list to the NRMP or the NMS • Administer and review post-match surveys • Coordinate orientations for new residents and fellows • Prepare, distribute, and monitor the resident appointment and reappointment process; prepare and monitor resident completion and/or termination process

Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000/yr.
