Position SummaryThis position is responsible for providing oversight of residential services at Conservatory which include but are not limited to facilitation of late-night activities including groups, movies and discussion, assisting in crisis intervention, assisting with incident reporting, and monitoring of program and resident safety. Shift: Sunday thru Thursday, evening shift Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResidential Support Services Build healthy and positive relationships with residents/participants. Collaborate with Case Managers and other program staff to ensure the delivery of services, including Harm Reduction and Trauma Informed Care.
Display and comply with agency's mission, policies and procedures, and service models, which includes Harm Reduction and Trauma Informed Care. Maintain awareness of facility surroundings for safety and reporting of accidents/incidents and hospital petitions per policy.
Respond to and assist in timely and appropriate crisis interventions. Respond to emergencies, such as alarms, fire and intrusion by following emergency response protocol. Facilitate support group activities such as insomnia groups, movies, games and/ or discussions w/ residents. Communicate any challenges or concerns about residents or day to day operations to Residential Lead.
Execute and maintain resident-centered programming, eviction prevention procedures and harm reduction strategies. Work with Residential Lead to develop and maintain program goals and outcomes.
Enter data in HMIS Office Administration Support Monitor and ensure program and resident safety, security and integrity during designated hours. Greet visitors and residents while creating a welcoming and supportive environment; Answer the telephone, take and distribute mail and messages to residents and staff.
Respond to visitors and residents' concerns and requests. Record building activities on daily log by noting any occurrences and observations.
Collect rental payments, issue receipts, enter rent receipts per policy. Coordinate reservation and preparation of meeting rooms.
Submit maintenance requests, prepare incident and rule violation reports. Complete and submit required documents before end of shift. Qualifications and RequirementsEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher preferred.Licensure and/or Certification: N/AJob Experience: 1 years of residential services experience in supportive housing setting; 1 years working with people with mental illness, substance abuse and/or both.Special Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of issues surrounding homelessness, mental illness and chemical dependency; proficiency in Microsoft Office software, effective oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, conflict management and crisis intervention skills; ability to communicate effectively with case management, staff, psychiatrist and other providers around mental health and medical issues; demonstrate clear and professional boundaries; act in a professional manner; Valid Illinois driver's license, proof of insurance and own vehicle preferred.
