POSITION: RESTORATION PROJECT COORDINATOR
CLASSIFICATION CODE: GRANT FUNDED(SOR GRANT)

REPORTS TO: PREVENTION SERVICES PROGRAM MANAGER

STATEMENT OF JOB:TheApache Behavioral Health Services Prevention Program welcomes your interest in the Restoration Project Coordinator position.This position develops and executes the Restoration Program tailored to the cultural and societal needs of clients at risk of substance use. The coordinator will provide early intervention information and services, such as group support, education, and intrinsic traditional knowledge of the Apache belief that the environment reflects the mind. Emphasize the importance of preparing the mind for recovery by clearing, preparing, and restoring the environment while teaching employable skills. Create policies to ensure the safety of participants. Engage in proactive outreach to build trust and establish strong relationships within the community, particularly with families, local leaders, and youth. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community organizations to coordinate substance prevention education. Organize restoration events and workshops that educate and empower both the youth and the community at large. Requires understanding of and sensitivity to Apache culture and values, a deep commitment to the well-being of Apache youth, excellent communication skills to effectively engage with the community and stakeholders, and dedication to building a supportive and empowering environment for at-risk youth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides accurate documentation of all services provided including education and outreachefforts andtakesresponsibility to report these as required on a monthly and quarterly basis to program supervisor and ABHS grant/data coordinator.
Coordinate and work collaboratively with partnering organizations and community service providers.
Create the Restoration Project Youth Curriculum focusing on substance use and suicide prevention.
Responsible for the Restoration Project promotion and marketing campaigns.
Ability to work under pressure and meet all state and federal timelines.
Create community events, workshops, and presentations.
Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
Participate in monthly meeting with AHCCCS SOR key personnel to discuss program performance, including GPRA target and completion rates, and financial management of the SOR funding.
Create a summary of progress achieved (to include major activities, accomplishments, and outcomes data), barriers encountered and efforts to overcome these barriers for the entire project period.
Develop and provide opioid/ stimulant misuse prevention, treatment, and recovery.
Support services for the purpose of addressing the opioid abuse crisis in Arizona.
Implement and expand access to clinically appropriate evidence- based practices (EBPs).
Experience working with youth and giving them the opportunity to participate in a work program that teaches employable skills while restoring recreational areas. These areas will be used for coping skills, health, exercise, and promoting sociability through sports.
Review daily requirements of assigned projects, document work progress in project database, other administrative tasks asassigned.
The Restoration Project Coordinator is responsible for compliance with State Opioid Response (SOR) grant requirements to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Participation in presentations at the tribal,state,and federal level.
Ability to address a variety of diverse spiritual, emotional, and social needs in multiple environments of an often-high-risk population, using a trauma-informed care approach while maintaining a high degree of professionalism and cultural awareness.
Abide by all applicable policies, procedures, and program standards of ABHS, White Mountain Apache Tribe, Indian Health Services, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and other pertinent regulatory authorities.
Maintain ethical policies and guidelines as outlined in accepted State ethics laws, rules, policies, and principles and as outlined in discipline-specific code of ethics.
Provide a positive role model to clients and staff through leadership, self-discipline, and genuine care for the treatment and recovery of clients. All clients and staff members must be treated with dignity and respect.
Participation in all required ABHS trainings and meetings.
Reports/attends work ina timelymanner. Must be reliable and communicate directly with supervisor in all matters of attendance.

Able to work independently and work with a team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a high school diploma with minimum of four years’ work-related experience in mental health field engaged in case management, mental health, developmental disabilities, aftercare, substance abuse or related areas; AA/bachelor’sdegree in mental health/human services or related field preferred. Experience working with Native Americans preferred.Experience working with grant funded projects preferred.
Ability to work outside and some knowledge ofpark clean up.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to speak the Apache language preferred.
Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving and organizational and time management skills with ability to work independently, with flexibility within prescribed deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors.
Valid Arizona Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass all pre-employment testing, including, but not limited to, fingerprint clearance, drug testing and background check.
