Key Responsibilities for the Revenue Cycle Specialist: Reimbursement Analysis: Analyze reimbursement patterns and identify areas for improvement. Ensure accurate and timely posting of payments and adjustments. Monitor and report on revenue cycle performance metrics. Claims Management: Oversee the entire claims process, from submission to resolution. Investigate and resolve denied or underpaid claims. Collaborate with insurance companies and other stakeholders to address billing issues. Data Extraction and Analysis: Extract and analyze data from various systems to identify trends and discrepancies. Develop reports and dashboards to support decision-making and performance tracking. Utilize advanced Excel skills to manipulate and present data effectively. Coding: Ensure accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses according to industry standards. Stay updated with changes in coding regulations and guidelines. Provide training and support to staff on coding practices. Qualifications for the Revenue Cycle Specialist: Experience in revenue cycle management or a similar role. Proficiency in medical coding (CPC certification preferred). Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
