TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Seattle, Washington, 98122 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Job Duration: Flexible commitment from 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Night shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and travel experience License: Compact license accepted; please indicate the status of your Washington license Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) Prismaflex Must-Have: - Cardiovascular surgical experience - Experience with devices such as IABP, PrismaFlex, Impella, ECMO, LVAD - Fresh open heart recovery experience Job Description: - Provide care for patients with cardiovascular disease, pre/post Cath Lab and IR procedures, and fresh open heart surgeries. - Perform specialized procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, and assist in the management of devices like IABP, Impella, and VADs. - Conduct hemodynamic monitoring, breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, and manage operations for CPAP/BiPAP and ventilators. - Implement procedure sedation, RSI, and undertake the administration of blood products. - Conduct cardioversion/defibrillation and manage patient cooling/warming processes. - Handle special equipment including health removal systems, vasopressors, balloon pumps, and CRRT. - Orientation consists of 4 days with validated skills for specific competencies. - Expected to work at least 3 major holidays out of 5 (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). - Willing to float to any unit within the scope of practice as needed. - Provide references with supervisory experience covering at least one year in a similar specialty/setting.
