Required Certifications Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date. Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date. Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date. Required Skills : Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Department/Unit Summary 25 bed unit with private rooms All patients are on telemetry monitor and being monitored on the unit. 5:1 Patient Ratio ADT Charge Nurse- assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers. Team nursing model consisting of 2 RN's and 5 LPN Fast-paced environment and high patient turnover. Patient population consist of patients with heart history and surgery patients post heart cath.
