TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Psych RN in Louisville, Kentucky, 40215 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Psychiatry / Med Surg Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, 24 weekend hours rotating every third weekend Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Must-Have: At least 1 year of experience in medical surgical or inpatient behavioral health Job Description: - Provide high-quality care to psychiatric patients with medical-surgical needs, including IV therapy, oxygen administration, and wound care. - Work within a 33-bed unit with a patient ratio of 6:1. - Use available equipment such as Computers on Wheels, limb restraints, and restraint chairs. - Utilize the Cerner electronic medical records system for patient documentation and tracking. - Float between inpatient medical detox and inpatient medical psych units as needed. - Wear the specified dress code of galaxy blue scrub top and black or galaxy blue pants, with the option of a black jacket. - Maintain a collaborative and positive environment, enjoying interactions and working with psychiatric patients. - Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance nursing skills. - Have flexibility with rotating weekend hours every third weekend. - No call requirements are necessary for this position.
