The Unit Manager serves as a resource person in both the clinical and management setting while also acting as a positive clinical role model and effective change agent to ensure optimum delivery of nursing care and services. Performs activities related to nursing care needs of residents. Conducts daily rounds of assigned unit. Assumes clinical responsibilities in the absence of RN/LPN. Documents in accordance with nursing policies and procedures. Monitors for accuracy/quality of documentation. Attends resident care conferences. Maintains effective communication with residents, families, staff, and physicians. Requirements: Iowa RN license required. CPR certified At least 1 year supervisory experience preferred At least 1 year recent clinical experience related to geriatric nursing
