Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Position Summary:
The RSU Floor Lead will assist the RSU Supervisor with all activities from processing retail product through RSU (induction thru pack-out), packing ecommerce orders, processing product using our standard operating procedures, and leading the team of employees. The Floor Lead will not counsel employees within the department but may be present during counseling performed by the supervisor.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the RSU Floor Lead include but are not limited to:
Assist supervisor in developing a daily plan around unit goals and staffing requirements for RSU. Assist supervisor in assignment of work, ensuring all priorities receive proper attention. Ensure work through RSU is processed on a FIFO basis. Ensure all outbound cartons on RSU are shipped within expected guidelines, using reporting in W&H System as needed. Complete a daily audit of outbound cartons, document results, and take action as needed. Manage any issues and product errors encountered in a timely manner. Communicate job expectations and coach employees. Ensure employees are performing at expected rates and work with them as needed to achieve performance standards. Monitor employee performance daily using the MOS System and perform new time studies as needed. Cross-train employees in all departments as volume demands dictate. Assist supervisor in performing payroll and employee attendance tracking weekly. Ensure inventory accuracy is a priority. Enforce company rules and regulations, as well as rules specific in the union contract. Develop, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures on all tasks executed within RSU & Shipping. Effectively communicate with all external company departments that interact with RSU and Shipping. Look for continuous improvement opportunities. Promote a clean and safe work environment and work on safety tasks as assigned. Perform other related duties and assignments as required. Skills, Abilities, Experience and Qualifications: • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Prior leadership experience is a plus.
• Ability to work and motivate your employee team.

• Working knowledge of warehouse technology including radio-frequency (RF) scanners is a plus.
• Previous warehouse/distribution/production experience is helpful.
• Basic knowledge of computer skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with physical demands including continuous standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, and frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to use handling equipment and machinery including sorter systems, conveyors, RF guns, and other materials necessary for production and packaging.
• Dependable team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done and flexible in scheduling based on business needs.
