Requisition Number11146Job TitleSCHOOL CAFETERIA WORKER/CASHIER - MASCONOMET SCHOOL DISTRICTLocationMasconomet High/Middle School-59801Job DescriptionPrepare and serve food following recipes, portion guide, and yield guideRun cash register during lunch service if assignedPerform assigned cleaning duties and maintain a clean food prep/register areaFollow dishwashing and mopping rotation scheduleSet up and breakdown hot/cold cafeteria serving lines including cleaningRestock food and beverages in cafeteria severy following First In, First Out (FIFO) methodComply with food safety and sanitation standards during food prep, service and cleanupUse food thermometer to ensure minimal internal cooking temperatures reachedDate mark food products in accordance with MA Food CodeHelp complete production records by recording portions produced and portions leftover before and after serviceInteract with students and school staff in friendly mannerAssist in keeping storage spaces for food and equipment organizedClean and sanitize cafeteria tablesAssist other team members in task completion as needed Follow Whitsons and school district policies including Uniform and Cell Phone PoliciesPerform other job duties assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent1 year professional food service experience and/or 1 year cash handling experienceExperience using computerized point-of-sales (POS) system or willingness to learnProficient customer service skillsAbility to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job tasksVarious physical requirements including, but not limited to, lifting up to 40lbs, bending, pushing, and pullingAbility to follow food safety and sanitation standards per health department regulations and Whitsons policiesFlexibility in assigned work duties Willingness to work as part of a teamAble to pass a background checkPositive and professional attitudeWork ScheduleMonday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:00 PMSupervisorMelissa SteinbergSalary Target$18 / hour
