Position Overview: The Yay Cafe Lunch Coordinator position ensures well balanced meals are provided to schools daily through daily vendor partnerships and lite food prep. Team members will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging dining experience for students, faculty, and staff where Yay operates all day. The hours for this position range from 15-20 hours per week.

https://youtu.be/_RHHU-oRmCs Primary Responsibilities: Prepare food items such as sandwiches, salads, and beverages according to established recipes and portion sizes.Assist in the setup and breakdown of serving stations, ensuring they are adequately stocked and organized.Serve food to customers courteously and efficiently, maintaining a friendly demeanor at all times.Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, following proper Yay Pay and credit card procedures.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and serving areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing/ logging of waste properly.Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of food products.Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating products, inputting inventory into system, and notifying management of low inventory.Attend quarterly training sessions to stay up to date with new procedures.Set up and maintain visually appealing merchandising displays to showcase food in an attractive and enticing mannerMake sure all hygiene standards are properly maintained.Interact with students, faculty, and staff in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.Collaborate with other Yay team members to ensure smooth operations and positive customer experiencesMaintain a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and cooperation among team membersUtilize various technological applications including our Yay branded hotsheets, Voxer, and Bamboo HR. Qualifications: Previous experience in customer service, food service, hospitality or related fields is preferred.Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people, including students, faculty, and staffStrong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to work well with school staff, students, and other team members.Flexibility to work morning and afternoon hours, as scheduling will depend on each individual school's needs.
