Scientific Staff Assistant Location Washington, DC (Downtown area) : Direct Hire Scientific Consulting Hybrid Role Administrative
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation. The Ford Agency is looking for a smart and motivated Staff Assistant with a scientific background for a forward-thinking consulting group. The successful candidate will have the chance to work alongside scientists and managing directors, providing valuable administrative support, data maintenance, and communications management. This is a great administrative, logistics based position for a candidate passionate about STEM looking to commit to a role that will give them long-term options for professional development and growth.
Responsibilities Include: Update and maintain complex databases Draft and edit supporting documents for submission to national and international regulatory bodies Prepare written and electronic correspondence and presentations Oversee administrative needs, including calendar management, meeting arrangements, travel logistics, and telephone support Provide assistance with research projects for clients Qualifications Include: BA/BS degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry Master's degree in Chemistry or related field preferred 1+ years of professional experience Professional organization and communication skills Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, working individually or as part of a team Professional command of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
