This is a multi-dimensional role that will include 'front end' communications with the Customer relating to technology and applications addressing emergent opportunities and continually evolving threats. Your technical and business acumen make you a 'go to' resource to support opportunity development, shaping, pursuit, capture, proposing, winning, execution, and delivery of key programs for the business area and parent corporation. Essential Functions: Meet with our Internal and External Customer base to understand needs, requirements, budgets and timeframes to develop compliant technical solutions that meet their needs and budget limitations. Understand and build relationships with the stakeholder and decision makers in the customer community to solidify our position as a trusted advisor. Liaise with Business Development (BD) and provide Engineering guidance to pursuits. Work multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, while adapting quickly to address emergent project priorities. Develop technical documentation in support of gate review activities. Ensure the logical and systematic development of total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints mapped against customer requirements and product capabilities. Develop statements of work, technical volumes, project plans, resource estimates, and material needs. Orchestrate artifact development within a collaborative matrix of engineering and functional support staff. Develop concepts of operation (CONOPS) and Use Cases. Work within and lead multi-disciplinary technical teams of subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop solutions meeting customer requirements. Communicate technical information to diverse audiences, including Customers with disparate acumen. Author & Co-Author whitepapers to document advanced concept solutions that address emergent requirements; and Travel to meet in person with Customers and Strategic Partners for current and future development opportunities. The Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV) ACE role bridges between our engineering, program management and business development functions. This critical position will drive innovation and technical execution of high-performance communication system products and solutions that support US National Security interests. The ideal individual will thrive in a matrix organization, and possess a strong understanding of system engineering, multidisciplinary processes, technical principles, and practical techniques in addition to having a proven track record of successful technical achievement and leadership. The successful candidate will guide technology innovation; support technology and mission roadmap development; promote program execution excellence; and source innovative concepts for novel solutioning within emergent problem spaces. This is a Full-Time position in Palm Bay, FL; Position may require up to +25% travel. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience. Current TS/SCI Security Clearance Experience working with US Government customers 10 years of relevant experience in Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) engineering to include extensive knowledge of the industry, vehicle platforms, payload options and emerging technologies Familiarity with engineering processes and the ability to adapt innovative solutions to emergent missions. Preferred Additional Skills: Demonstrated entrepreneurial success Experience with modems and optical communication waveforms and standards Experience with Agile Development principles Ability to proactively detect, identify and address issues quickly Experience analyzing, developing, and integrating electronic systems in areas such as remote sensing, aerospace payloads, mission computing, communications, networking, robotics, and cyber / electronic warfare Desired skills in any or all of the following disciplines: RF, Optics, Acoustics, Hydrodynamics and Moorings.
