Scrum Master Role Description
In this role, you will apply your expertise as Scrum Master to aid the teams in building varying technology solutions while promoting agile adoption across the organization. We are looking for professionals with a passion for executing the principles of the agile methodology in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will work as a Scrum Master on 2-3 scrum teams with team members located in multiple regions.
Responsibilities:
Facilitates the Agile process and ensures that all scrum cadences occur and are productive – daily scrum meetings, planning sessions, refinement meetings, retros etc.
Oversees the Scrum process and coaches the team; facilitates transparency, inspection, and adaptation
Helps the team focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done
Facilitates communication and collaboration inside and outside the team Support and aids the product team in creating and managing a clearly defined backlog, release planning, sprint planning and backlog refinement
Contributes to the defining best practices and governance for the team where necessary
Facilitates the team's agreement on what can be achieved during each sprint Coaches the team through regular reviews of the team processes and practices to achieve continuous improvement
Facilitates stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.
Qualifications:
7+ years of professional experience in software/IT development sphere, out of which 5+ years as a Scrum Master with deep understanding of Agile & lean values and principles
Experience in a strategic program delivery for at least 5 years with globally distributed teams that was diligently applying Agile principles, practices, and theory
3+ years working on distributed and scaled agile teams, and well versed with at least one major framework (example SAFe, Scrum@Scale, Spotify, LeSS, DAD)
2+ years of training or coaching individuals and teams in Agile practices and values (lean and product management a plus
Experience working with technical delivery teams and knowledge of technical engineering best practices including test driven development and technical solution integrations
Good communicator with problem solving mindset and focus on process improvement Experience and working knowledge of conducting agile work using collaboration tools (Jira and confluence preferred
Professional certifications like CSM, CSP-SM, SPC, RTE or equivalent
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Skilled in Engineering Practices, Business Strategy and Product Management
