FLSA Status: Non-Exempt This position will coordinate with the Security Manager to assist in overseeing all property security and safety policies and procedures. The Security Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of safety and security of the hotel. This person will respond to guest and employee emergencies, complete incident reports, and complete security rounds.
Essential Functions: Supervise and train Security OfficersMaintain complete awareness of scheduled group activities and house count, hotel facilities and services, hours of operation, facility layout, fire and emergency plans, and departmental rules of conductWork closely with Front Office to ensure that hotel guests/employees are safe and must be able to handle guests who may be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or are otherwise incapacitated.Complete understanding of all security-related systems, CCTV, Radio, Key card system, fire panel, etc.Provide escorts for employees in accordance with departmental standardsCoordinate emergency situations as specified in the departmental manualOversight of general liability claimsMonitor surveillance cameras as assignedInvestigate duress alarms and comply with respective proceduresPatrol the property with specified equipment, checking all designated points and document all actions taken in accordance with departmental standardsQualificationsHigh School diploma or any other combination of training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesValid Driver's LicenseKnowledge of local laws, investigative methods, and fire safetyValid certification in CPR and first aid or the ability to obtain certificationCertification in alcohol awareness program or ability to obtain oneFluency in English both verbally and non-verballyProvide legible communication and directionsUnderstanding of PC operation and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and internet use.1 year of security experience preferredAbility to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distancesMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
