Senior Accountant
Location : Butler, PA
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare, review, and post journal entries in line with generally accepted accounting principles.
+ Assist in coordinating the month-end closing process.
+ Review accounting records and transactions for accuracy, adequate supporting documentation, and compliance with company policies.
+ Monitor, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
+ Participate in the timely preparation, review, and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, local management reports, cost allocation reports, and capital expenditure reports.
+ Develop and prepare relevant, meaningful, and comprehensive management reports that provide comparisons to budget and historical trends.
+ Actively support the annual financial audit process.
+ Communicate and present results to local and upper management.
+ Prepare and maintain the companys fixed asset records and systems.
+ Prepare journal entries to record prepaid expenses.
+ Proactively identify areas for potential improvement within the Finance & Accounting Department.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
+ CPA or MBA preferred, but not required.
+ Five to seven years of progressive accounting experience.
