Senior Accountant

Description:The Senior Accountant performs all daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions for all assigned areas. This position is also responsible for participating in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings, annual audit preparation, and other special projects as requested by management.Requirements:Education & Experience3+ years' experience working as an accountant or in a similar role.Profound experience with typical accounting procedures.Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Good practical experience with accounting software packages?†such as Great Plains.Good knowledge of financial accounting statements and business trends.Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel.Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant area; a certification such as CMA or CPA will be a bonus.Skills And AbilitiesAbility to work independently.Must be comfortable working in an evolving, entrepreneurial environment.A strong work ethic is required.Must possess "soft skills": conflict resolution and negotiation, personal effectiveness, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, and influencing skills.Strong communication skills (including writing skills.)Ability to work in the US without sponsorshipPI94b10fdf2b4d-34600-36009073
