Vaco Boston has partnered with an innovative manufacturing company in Boston that is seeking a Senior Accountant.
Responsibilities: · Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
· Oversee the general ledger, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining accurate financial records.
· Lead the preparation for external audits, ensuring all documentation and financial records are accurate and readily available.
· Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and financial reporting standards.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
· Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and insights, including cost analysis, margin analysis, and financial planning.
· Participate in and lead special projects as assigned by the Director of Finance.
Required Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.
· Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
· Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and documentation.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
