The Opportunity The Los Angeles office of LCW is seeking to hire a mid-level litigation associate to join its labor and employment practice. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in the state of California with a minimum of 5 years of experience in employment matters, including wage and hour, PAGA, and FSLA. Prior employment litigation experience is required, including 1st or 2nd chair trial, mediation, or other dispute resolution processes. This role involves extensive client contact and the primary responsibilities include conducting substantive witness interviews, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, regularly appearing and defending motions in court, case management, in addition to drafting of dispositive motions, including demurrers, anti-SLAPP, motions for judgment and motions for summary judgement. Experience in the public sector is a plus.
