Position: Senior Traveling Construction Superintendent Location: Dallas, Texas (with travel elements) Compensations: $100,000 - $150,000 (dependent on experience) + benefits and bonuses. Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Traveling Construction Superintendent to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of industrial warehouse construction projects across various locations.
Responsibilities: · Project Management:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all construction activities on assigned industrial warehouse projects.
Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
Monitor progress, resolve issues, and mitigate risks to ensure timely completion of projects.
· Team Leadership:
Supervise and provide guidance to on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Conduct regular site visits to assess project status, identify challenges, and implement solutions.
· Quality Control and Safety:
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure construction meets or exceeds standards.
Monitor safety protocols and enforce compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
· Cost Management:
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and review subcontractor invoices.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering measures without compromising quality.
· Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily progress reports, site records, and change orders.
Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and stakeholders.
Requirements: Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial warehouse construction.
Proven track record in successfully managing and completing commercial construction projects.
Ability to read and understand construction documents including project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
Clear understanding of the documentation and processes between the owner, architect, and contractor.
Must be computer literate, preferring experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and/or Suretrak, Procore, Bluebeam and other construction related software.
Flexibility to travel extensively to project sites across various locations. Construction-related degree is a bonus.
