Senior Cost Accountant Compensation: $92k (Sign-on bonus potential)
Position Overview:
TheSenior Cost Accountantwill play a critical role in managing inventory accounting and cost processes for Stryten Energy Component (SEC) plants. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), overseeing daily production reporting, supporting the month-end close process, and ensuring accurate inventory reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with inventory management, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update theBill of Materials (BOM)in IQMS to ensure accurate inventory costing at SEC plants.Implement the annual cost roll and quarterly commercial costing updates.Preparedaily production reportsfor management and handle ad hoc analysis as needed.Accurately prepare journal entries for themonth-end closeprocess.Reconcile SECGeneral Ledger inventory accountswith the perpetual inventory records and other supporting documents monthly; investigate and explain variances.Monitor key General Ledger accounts daily for potential issues related to production, receiving, and shipping, and conduct monthly account analysis.Analyze and adjust theobsolescence reserveon a monthly basis.Manage accounting forcustomer toll accounts.Assist with the annualPhysical Inventoryas required.Qualifications:
