The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of essential job duties, including the analysis, drafting, negotiation, and finalization of all commercial agreements and RFP responses within the Americas.
This role requires a strategic thought leader with the ability to manage technical legal advice and support the business globally.
The Senior Counsel will also be involved in mitigating contractual risk, providing legal counsel to internal clients, overseeing commercial litigation, and staying current on legal issues affecting the real estate industry.
Collaboration with key business stakeholders and the ability to work under time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment are critical.
Candidates for this position must have a J.D.
from a leading law school, be in good standing with the Bar, and have 7 to 12 years' of significant commercial real estate transactional experience.
A combination of private practice and in-house experience is preferred.
The role demands a professional with strong analytical, organizational, writing, and communication skills, who is a strategic problem solver and can work both autonomously and collaboratively.
The Senior Counsel will also be expected to create training and development opportunities for internal clients and the legal group.
The position is hybrid, with a requirement to be in the office 3 days a week, and the candidate should be prepared to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment with multiple competing priorities.
