The successful candidate will be a proactive and collaborative attorney, capable of operating in a fast-paced, growth environment.
Key responsibilities for this role include coordinating and advising on the negotiation and drafting of various commercial agreements, providing counsel on real estate operations, and leading the company's data privacy strategies and compliance with US and international laws.
The role also involves managing commercial transaction and real estate-related litigation, as well as privacy-related legal matters.
Applicants must have a Juris Doctorate degree, be admitted to practice law in one or more states, and have a minimum of 5-6 years' related experience, with in-house experience highly preferred.
The ideal candidate will have a background in California commercial real estate law, US data protection laws, and international privacy regulations.
Experience in the food and beverage retail industry is a plus.
The role requires the ability to work with company directors, senior leaders, and third-party vendors, and to contribute to the continuous improvement of the legal functions within the organization.
The Senior Counsel will also be responsible for managing outside counsel and delivering legal training to internal business partners.
