The successful candidate will be responsible for providing business-focused legal advice on corporate and employment issues, including recruiting, hiring, compensation and benefits, global mobility, pay equity, diversity and inclusion, and wage-and-hour compliance.
This role involves the development, review, and update of employment policies and programs to ensure alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
The Senior Counsel will also be involved in M&A activities, international expansion initiatives, and will guide compliance with ERISA, tax, and other relevant laws governing employee benefit plans.
Applicants must have 8-12 years' of experience in a nationally-recognized law firm, in-house legal department, or a combination of both, and hold a J.D.
from a top-tier law school.
The role requires a self-starter with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and the capacity to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding complex issues, assessing risk, and providing concise, actionable legal advice.
Responsibilities also include assisting with compensation and equity compensation design, administration, and compliance, as well as preparing a variety of employment-related forms and templates.
The position demands a resourceful individual who is comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and excels at working with minimal supervision.
