This position serves as a key member of the Global Rewards Center of Excellence, Membership Rewards Transformation Team. Working closely with Loyalty Technology, Finance Technology teams and other Finance stakeholders, this position will support both Global Rewards Platform Transformation and Business Development initiatives by ensuring accurate accounting and financial reporting through implementation of controlled End to End processes.
The successful candidate should have familiarity with American Express financial systems, operational and technical accounting,internalcontrols, overall business acumen along with very strong interpersonal skills.
The position will be responsible for:
·Supporting Rewards monthly accounting & reporting activities and ensuring integrity of financial results, constantly driving innovation and change
·Supporting Rewards platform (R42) Modernization and Business Development by partnering with Technology groups to assess and draft requirements, perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and support post implementation tracking to ensure a smooth controlled transition to the new platform require
·Supporting projects and business initiatives to ensure Financial and Control requirements / considerations are addressed
·Interfacing with key reporting systems and interaction with technologies groups
·Partnering closely with all areas of the Company involved in the Rewards process to drive automation and efficiency
·Supporting the maintenance of a robust control environment for E2E Rewards
·Supporting and facilitating internal and external audit requests.
·Driving documentation and memorializing key decisions and assessments throughout the platform modernization journey.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
·Results driven, self-starter; able to lead and influence without authority
·Strong organization, communication and relationship skills
·Ability to handle high pressure environment with ambitious deadlines while balancing long term / short term impacts
·Strong collaborator - can work across the Enterprise to drive results while understanding and incorporating multiple viewpoints
·Good knowledge of internal controls and overall business acumen
·Proven analytical skills, proficiency with or willingness to learn SQL, HIVE, LUMI, and data visualization tools.
·Knowledge of how benefits, rewards or promotional offerings are delivered to cardmembers is a plus.
·3 to 5 years of work experience in Controllership, Accounting or Finance roles with a degree in Accounting or Finance; CA/CPA/MBA a plus.
·Basic understanding of the Project lifecycle and familiarity with Agile methodologies is essential to the role.
·Experience with crafting project documentation including creating process, system and accounting flows.
·Good understanding of enterprise system infrastructure technologies in the loyalty space is a plus.
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
