SSI is seeking a Senior Military Analyst (Exercise & Wargame SME) who will bring extensive experience in Combatant Command (CCMD) or Major Command (MAJCOM) training, operations, intelligence, and planning, supporting the development and execution of high-level exercises and wargames. This role requires integration within a Warfighter Integration team, with a focus on both immediate and strategic planning. The position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.
\n Key ResponsibilitiesExercise Planning & Coordination: Lead and support exercises through the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC), including Concept Development, Initial, Mid, and Final Planning Conferences, and After Action Reviews. Develop Training Objectives, Joint Mission Essential Task Lists (JMTLs), and Master Sequence of Events Lists (MSELs) for effective scenario execution.Scenario & Simulation Expertise: Utilize Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) training environments and Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools to design realistic training experiences. Create future-world scenarios (4-15 years out) for wargame settings, incorporating emerging systems and notional weapon concepts.Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders across all levels, from Action Officers to executive leaders, ensuring alignment of exercise objectives with broader strategic goals. Work closely with teams in organizations that utilize non-standard acquisition methods (e.g., SpRCO, MDA, SCO, SDA).Joint Operations Knowledge: Apply knowledge of the roles and missions of US Space Command (USSC) and US Northern Command (USNC), leveraging Joint Intelligence and Operations Center experience for effective exercise integration. Required QualificationsExperience & Education: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15 years' experience in DoD exercises, acquisitions, or operations required; Master's degree and Professional Military Education (PME) from Joint or Service War Colleges highly preferred.Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance required.Skills: Proven ability to work independently, with experience in formal training processes, exercise design, and scenario development.
