About the Position
R+A is looking for a senior planner with 5+ years of experience to work on and manage a variety of projects including comprehensive plans, area/neighborhood plans, community visioning, zoning codes, and other policy and regulatory documents. The ideal candidate will have experience with all aspects of long-range planning including research, writing policy documents, project management, and conducting community engagement.

Skills and Experience Bachelor or Master's degree in urban planning, urban design or a related field. Experience working on a range of long-range planning documents including, but not limited to, General Plans, Specific Plans and zoning codes. Knowledge of a range of planning topics including land use, community design, climate change and adaptation, mobility planning, environmental justice, and/or parks and open space. Experience with software commonly used in planning such as Adobe Creative Suite, and ArcGIS. Knowledge of local land use planning law in California is a plus but not required. Salary and Benefits
Based on their level of experience, the new hire will be an Intermediate Planner, Senior Planner or Associate.

Intermediate Planner: $75,000 to $95,000, DOE Senior Planner: $95,000 to $120,000, DOE Associate: $115,000 to $135,000, DOE The firm provides a generous benefits package including hybrid work schedule, an annual bonus, fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, a professional development stipend, and more.
