Summary: The Sales Excellence Development Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of initiatives to enable and/or improve the penetration of Power market segments in the entire Region Americas for MAN's core and growth business. The Sales Excellence Development Manager develops innovative strategic and conceptional recommendations based on requirement profiles resulting out of its market and stakeholder analysis in order to create Sales Excellence under the consideration of commercial and technical aspects. The Sales Excellence Development Manager plays a key role to lead and coordinate all initiatives amongst the complete value chain starting from the early identification of project / business opportunities up to and including service activities after successful contract signature. Key Job Responsibilities: Lead the change with cross-functional team members to develop and implement innovative sales strategies and initiatives amongst the whole value chain starting from the early identification of sales opportunities up to including contract signature and service actions to increase America's revenue and market share in the MAN Power market segment. Visit customers, trade fairs, conferences as the MAN representative, branch specialist and networker in order to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Special attention shall be given to local sub-suppliers and EPC contractors across the whole Region Americas in order to promote MAN's product portfolio and business approach Develop a full understanding and continuously monitor of the MAN's capabilities, benefits and competitive advantages in the Americas market in order to identify areas of action Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to develop and implement robust innovative execution approaches with frameworks, tools and processes to ensure business success. Establish a proper feedback culture forum in order to allow controlling, steering and/or re-adaptation of the measures Collaborate with marketing and product teams to create sales materials and campaigns Define centralized technical and commercial requirements from Sales perspective in the Region Americas in order to pave the road for the future business and product development The department Sales Excellence Development is a new position within the Region Americas and as such the Position holder requires to be a self-starter who possesses flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment and capacity to think at a high-level strategic caliber while managing daily tasks, also acting as a Sales Manager for its own set of countries (see following tasks), and building up this new department and its own team Elaboration of market and sales opportunities in defined countries in the Americas. Development of public appearances for customer acquisition. Customer Relationship Management. Development and evaluation of business models in the context of implementing the Power strategy & the new product portfolio Power Plants, monitoring ramp-ups according to business plans and driving business model innovations from sales perspective and customer centricity in the respective countries of responsibility Personnel leadership (regular exchange of information, team meetings, appraisal interviews, talent management & succession plan, salary management, Coaching, Mentoring). Selection and recruiting of suitable staff, incorporation and onboarding of new employees, secondment and contract administration and development in its area of responsibility Ensure compliance in its area of responsibility and activity, by implementing of all related directives and processes. Implementation of requirements of internal and external audits. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Select, develop and implement innovative sales strategies and initiatives amongst the whole value chain to increase America's revenue and market share in the MAN Power market segment Continuously track the progress and success (i.e. technically and commercially) incl. adaptation of the initiated measures in order to comply with the allocated budget and time to market Ensure internal policies and company's regulations are always applied in the respective countries within its responsibility. Responsible for creating and implementing strategic sales and business development plans for the respective countries within its responsibility. Required Education: University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent and 10+ years of international sales and marketing. Required Experience: Proven experience in leading large project organizations striking the perfect balance between results and customer-centricity in a senior sales or tendering role with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets.
