About the Senior Technical Product Manager: The Senior Technical Product Manager plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technology and product management. This individual possesses a deep understanding of data storage/database technologies, APIs, and technical systems, ensuring that our products not only meet market demands and offer exceptional stability and reliability but also capitalize on the latest technological advancements. You will collaborate closely with engineering, business intelligence, and stakeholder teams to champion technical solutions and innovations throughout the product lifecycle.
Own multiple major technical components and develop comprehensive technical products, ensuring they are technically sound and aligned with the company's vision and goals. Lead the product development process, ensuring optimal and reliable system performance. Understand and leverage technical knowledge, especially concerning data storage/database, data and file movement, APIs, and related technologies. Create and maintain a 12-month technical product roadmap, considering both capability demands and technological advances to determine priorities and timelines in collaboration with engineering leadership. Monitor on-call and operational tickets with a keen eye on the underlying technical challenges and solutions to ensure patterns become prioritized investments. Lead backlog grooming and contribute to Scrum, Weekly Business Review, Sprint Planning, and Retrospective team ceremonies. Write and maintain detailed evergreen comprehensive technical product requirements and acceptance criteria to guide product development. Write and maintain detailed user guides for shared technical products. Collaborate with engineers to review and align on requirements, testing plans, and daily progress, answering questions about functionality as they arise during the SDLC Collaborate with engineers to determine incremental outcome value delivery plans Own quality assurance ensuring that completed work meets defined acceptance criteria. Serve as the bridge between non-technical stakeholders and engineering teams, translating technical concepts and ensuring alignment. Lead the product development process, ensuring technical feasibility and optimal performance. Continuously monitor technological trends and advancements in the industry to ensure our products stay current. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring technical considerations are adequately addressed. Analyze product performance, understanding the technical underpinnings of any issues or potential enhancements. Manage the software release process, ensuring all technical aspects are considered. Document and publish release notes and other go-to-market documentation Conduct regular demos with stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment and communication. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of data formats and structures, and data storage/database technologies, including specific technologies like SQL. Strong grasp of product management principles with a technical bend. Prioritize data-driven decisions based on both product metrics and technical performance indicators. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Technical acumen to proactively identify and address technical challenges and opportunities. Strong leadership skills with a focus on technical guidance and direction. Basic Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in technical product management or a combined experience of product management and a technical role, with a focus on data storage/database or API system components. Deep understanding of software application concepts, including databases, APIs, and full stack development. Hands-on experience or familiarity with data formats and structures, data storage solutions, data movement patterns, and relevant database technologies. Experience in agile development methodologies and frameworks. Preferred: Experience in Financial Services or other FinTech. Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion.
