We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead product management for two Platform Services teams (a.k.a. our core infrastructure teams).As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will drive the innovation and evolution of our cloud and infrastructure products thatultimately enablefarmers around the world to obtain andutilizeour digital tools.The ideal candidatebringsa strong technical background in cloud technologies and infrastructure, combined with exceptional product management and leadership skills.This candidatewillbe responsible fordefining product strategy, managing the product lifecycle, and ensuring our cloud infrastructure solutions meet the evolving needs of our organization and customersbytransforming and professionalizing our internal systems as products.
Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and articulatea clear visionand strategy for our cloud infrastructure products, aligning with the company's overall strategic goals.
Product-Focused Infrastructure: Embody and promote a product-focused approach to infrastructurebyguiding the team to view infrastructure through the lens of product development.This involves prioritizing user experience, reliability, and feature development within infrastructure projectsto ensureinfrastructuresupport andenhanceorganizational goals.
Roadmap Development: Create andmaintaina product roadmap that balances short-term deliverables with long-term vision, ensuring stakeholder alignment and managing expectations.
Customer and Market Insights: Gather and analyze feedback from customers and the market toidentifyopportunities for product improvements and new features that enhance our competitive edge.
Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with the engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure successful product development, launch, and internal go-to-market strategies.
Feature Prioritization: Prioritize product features and capabilities based on customer needs, business value, and technical feasibilitywithin the ICE framework.
Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for cloud infrastructure products, using data to drive decisions and measure success.
Mentorship: Lead and mentor infrastructure engineers to adopt a product-focused mindsetbyfosteringa culture of innovation,continuousimprovement, and cross-functional collaborationtoempower engineers to take ownership and drive initiatives that align with strategicobjectives.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent whopossessesthe following:
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science,engineering, or a related technical fieldwith7+ years of experience in product management with a focus on cloud infrastructure, platform services, or related technologies.
Advancedtechnical acumen, with a deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), infrastructure as code (IAC), and modern DevOps practices.
Proventrack recordmanaging all aspects of a successful product lifecycle.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior executives.
Demonstrated experience using data analysisand metricsto inform product decisions
Preferred qualifications
AWS certification (Associate level and above)
Previousexperience managing infrastructure teams
Experience with AWS multi-account strategy and the AWS Well-Architected Framework
Experience with the Scaled Agileframework
Experience with Observability tools (Datadog, etc.)
WHAT WE OFFER
Base salary estimated range between[$121,557 – $220,339]annually, depending on the hiring location. You may also be offered bonuses, RSUs cash equivalent, or commission.
