Job Description The Senior Trial Attorney represents insured and the Company in the defense of bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases. The position prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
Key ResponsibilitiesConducts depositions and examinations under oath and prepares summary documentsPrepares witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnessesKeep claim business partners updated on status (initial client contact, initial litigation plan, recurring contacts, strategy conferences, pre-trial, etc.)Contacts clients to discuss their case and answer any questionsReview new file assignments, all documentary evidence, and approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and/or develop strategyInvestigate and pursue subrogation litigation as appropriateDraft post-trial motionsTry and/or arbitrate cases by preparing motions, motions in limine and summary documents in limineConducts settlement/dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.)Prepares and conducts court appearances (matter management conferences, hearings, status conferences, etc.)Ability to work and travel within Atlanta, GA areaEducation4 year Bachelors Degree (Required)Juris Doctor Degree (Required)Member and in good standing with the Georgia State BarExperience5 or more years of experience (Preferred)Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job does not have supervisory duties.Skills Customer Centricity, Digital Literacy, Documentation Review, Evidence Gathering, Inclusive Leadership, Learning Agility, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Litigation, Results-Oriented
Compensation Compensation offered for this role is $85,600.00 - 152,650.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
