Server - Seaview Restaurant

Job Summary:The Breakfast Server at Seaview Restaurant located at Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, New Jersey is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and serving breakfast to guests in an efficient and friendly manner. This is a full time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry.Compensation & Benefits:As a full time employee, the Breakfast Server is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and a competitive hourly wage.Responsibilities:Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, and assist with seating and menu selectionsTake and accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS systemPrepare and serve hot and cold breakfast items including coffee, tea, juice, pastries, and hot entreesEnsure food presentation is optimal and meets quality standardsMonitor guest satisfaction and address any issues or concerns quickly and professionallyMaintain a clean and organized work area, including tables, utensils, and condimentsFollow all food safety and sanitation guidelinesHandle cash and credit card transactions, and maintain accurate and organized cash handling proceduresCommunicate effectively with other team members, including kitchen staff, to ensure smooth serviceCollaborate with management to continuously improve service and meet/exceed guest expectationsRequirements:Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role preferredKnowledge of food and beverage service techniques and standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 poundsFlexible and able to work weekends, holidays, and mornings as neededKnowledge of POS systems and cash handling proceduresHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredEEOC Statement:Ocean Place Resort & Spa is an equal opportunity employer.
