Millennium Galvanizing can also perform painting, metalizing and paint over bare blasted steel as well as paint over galvanized steel for sensitive areas of installation that require an aesthetically pleasing coating application.
Description The Shipping Manager holds responsibility for the steel products after galvanizing has been completed, prior to transport / shipping.  This individual will oversee sandblasting and painting of the steel products and will begin preparing the galvanized steel for the transport / shipping process; inspects steel after cooling for coating thickness, coating appearance, uniformity, and adherence; confers with quality assurance to complete the inspection process; ensures that pickle tank employees are working according both to set safety and standard operating procedures.  The Shipping Manager is responsible for ensuring that all galvanized pieces are organized per customer order and are properly prepared for loading and transport.
\n Responsibilities·         Oversees entire shipping process.·         Coordinates the shipping schedule with the outside vendors according to required delivery dates.·         Notify the outside vendors of any changes or problems that might arise during the processes of each job.·         Manages the transportation needs required to deliver the projects to the specified location.·         Plans the resources of trucks needed to transport the projects to the specified location.·         Manages the operations of the sub assembly department.·         Handles customers' issues related pertaining to the shipment of their projects.·         Identifies correct number of pieces, galvanizing issues, trucking issues, paperwork issues, or timely delivery issues; tracks all pieces of material and identifies any issues that affect timely or incorrect deliveries.·         Ensures safety equipment is available and utilized.·         Administers company policy and procedures in regard to employment; conducts discipline and dismissals.·         Conducts employee evaluations, sets goals, and objectives.·         Provides paths for continuous development of employees.·         Schedules resources needed for truck loading operations.·         Determines and implements to the shipping process.·         Ensures that standard operating procedures are followed.·         Prepares and maintains shipping schedule.·         Determines employment needs required.·         Determines material resources needed.·         Ensures efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments.·         Coaches and develops employee potential to meet business objectives.·         Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.·         Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintains compliance with established policies and procedures. Requirements·        Bachelor's Degree and / or equivalent experience of five to ten years is required.·         Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is required.·         Epicor experience preferred.·         Regular, reliable attendance is required.
