This position administers access to doors, buildings, cabinets, equipment, and vehicles. Responsibilities include assisting customers in person and on the telephone, making and filing key orders, monitoring, and auditing access, programming computer managed access devices for ALL Salt Lake Community Campuses and Centers, research, auditing, writing letters/emails, access retrieval and clerical duties. Other duties as assigned. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: - Knowledge of Key Office Operations.
- Ability to work as a team, having a positive attitude, get along well with others.
- Operate various software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Key and Electronic Software, Sprocket and Banner.
- Cutting Keys.
- Clerical Functions which include organization, typing, answering phones, filing, record keeping, taking messages, resolving problems, handling complaints, organizing, and generating reports and work orders.
- Work directly with customers in person and on the telephone (Excellent customer service skills required).
- Opening and closing office.
- Administer access to door(s), building(s), cabinet(s), equipment, and vehicles at all SLCC campuses.
- Making, filing keys, programming and monitoring computer managed access devices at All Campuses and Centers.
- Driving to all Campuses and Centers.
- Conduct research and audits.
- Pay close attention to detail.
- Handle confidential material.
- Perform well under stress and pressure.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders.
- Other duties as assigned. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued: Minimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years' work experience in related field or education/training that may be exchanged for work experience.
- Must have and maintain a valid Utah driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: - Key duplicating experience.- Card/Proximity Access experience.- Knowledge of key systems and hierarchy.- Clerical skills.- Knowledge of college software (Outlook and Banner).- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.- Knowledge of SLCC Campuses and Centers. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette.- Ability to work in a team environment.- Proficient and accurate typist.- Make keys and program computer managed access devices for all SLCC Campuses and Center.- Read, write, speak English fluently and communicate effectively- Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Banner, Outlook, key and card access software.- Organization skills.- Operate office and key equipment.- Data entry and ability to learn new computer software.- Follow oral and written instructions.- Troubleshoot and research problems.- Keep confidential records.- Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure.- Self-starter.- Be able to lift 50 lbs.-Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
