Overview:

As a Level 3 Snowmaker, you will be taking on a leadership position on the mountain and be accountable for the efficient and productive operation out on the hill.
This includes training snowmakers, performing basic maintenance, and taking on a positive attitude to motivate fellow teammates.
In the absence of a supervisor, you may need to take on supervisory duties.
This is a very complex position and requires intense commitment and a diverse skill set.

Schedule availability: 6:45 AM - 7 PM (day) or 6:45 PM - 7 AM (grave).
Weekdays, weekends, holidays.
Overtime required.
Hours are weather dependent.

Responsibilities:
All responsibilities of a Level 2 Snowmaker Offer continual training and assistance on standard operational and safety practices to Level 1 & 2 Snowmakers Lead the crew in trail set up Be able to troubleshoot and correct malfunctions and breakdowns of snowmaking equipment Assist in charging, maintaining, and blowing down of snowmaking systems Operate snowmobiles, UTVs and other equipment safely and efficiently Perform general maintenance pre-operations checks on equipment Train team members in the adjustment, operation, and troubleshooting of snow guns so they are producing the most cost effective and highest quality snow possible Be willing to learn mechanical skills, including the understanding of hydrants, valves, water lines and other snowmaking system components Set examples and reinforce positive motivation for the team Be willing to help in other departments during peak periods Complete other duties as assigned by management or supervisor with a positive attitude Qualifications: Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years old 3+ years of snowmaking experience Valid drivers license and no restrictions Must be able to communicate fluently in English Be able to lift, bend, kneel, and carry up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work unsupervised Basic hand tool knowledge and skill Able to define problems, establish facts and draw conclusions Able to work in a fast-paced, potentially high-pressure environment Self-motivated Flexible with hours and days of work Knowledge of temperature fluctuation, weather, and tother atmospheric conditions effect on snowmaking, and the ability to adjust quickly to those changing environments Able to work in harsh winter conditions with extremes of temperature, wind, and precipitation for extended period outdoors in an alpine environment Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment Compensation & Benefits Wages range from $24-$26 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement Team Member Perks include Season Passes for self and dependents Resort discounts for retail, dining, lessons, rentals, lodging and spa Access to other Boyne Resorts Gear allowance for full-time Team Members Eligibility for affordable Team housing Eligibility for end-of-season service and loyalty bonus
