We are seeking a dynamic Social Media Manager to spearhead our social media strategy. This role will be pivotal in shaping and enhancing our brand's online presence, ensuring alignment with our overall marketing objectives. The Social Media Manager will work closely with our content creation team and other key stakeholders to effectively engage our target audience of outdoor enthusiasts. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Development: Design and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Pinterest, Threads, and YouTube. Content Collaboration: Partner with the social media content and brand creative teams to produce engaging content tailored to our audience. Cross-Functional Engagement: Collaborate with diverse teams (e.g., owned brands, customer service, HR) to effectively convey the brand's multifaceted identity through social media. Performance Measurement: Work with the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing to set KPIs for evaluating the success of social media initiatives in relation to broader brand goals. Consistency Across Channels: Coordinate with the digital marketing team to maintain coherent messaging across organic and paid social media efforts. Tool Implementation: Research and recommend tools to enhance the management and effectiveness of our social media platforms. Trend Evaluation: Assess new social platforms and partnership opportunities, providing insights aligned with our brand strategy. Live Content Coordination: Occasionally work outside standard office hours to manage live social media content. Campaign Curation: Work with Backcountry athletes, Gearheads, Ambassadors and content creator community to develop and execute brand and product driven campaigns. User-Generated Content (UGC): Develop strategies to encourage and amplify UGC across social media channels, boosting community engagement and brand advocacy. Community Management: Manage community engagement across various platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, Pinterest, Threads, Reddit, Pinterest and YouTube. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years in a social media role with a strong grasp of brand communications and public relations. Bachelor's degree preferred. At least 3 years of experience in crafting and designing social media content that aligns with brand standards and engagement best practices, including the creation and submission of creative briefs. Detail-oriented and organized, with effective communication skills across teams who is outgoing and confident in front of audiences and colleagues. Experience managing a social media calendar in sync with corporate timelines. Understanding of content licensing (music, imagery). Passionate about outdoor activities. Experience using project management software. Ability to interpret social media analytics and insights. Experience managing budgets related to social media initiatives. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint), major social media platforms, and management tools. What's in it for you?
