Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an
Software Engineer
to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in
Melbourne, Florida
.
Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, Melbourne Aircraft Design, Engineering and Test Department is looking for a passionate and dedicated System Integration Test & Evaluation (SIT&E) Automation Engineer to join our Integration & Test team in Melbourne, FL.
The SIT&E Team is responsible for completing verification of system level hardware and software capabilities developed and integrated for a classified program.
As an automation engineer you'll be engaging in level I and level II system test automation efforts. You'll utilize your level of understanding of system test to identify test cases as candidates for automation, identify the hardware and software required for that automation, and utilize the ATLAS framework to create the automation capabilities. Your knowledge of software will be utilized to drive requirements to our lab tools team and drive additional capabilities to our automation framework.
This position will require occasional shift work and overtime. Additionally, the nature of this position requires individuals to be comfortable working full time in a classified development environment; cell phones or personal electronic devices are prohibited within these areas.
This position may require travel, but will be permanently located in
Melbourne, Florida.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2+ years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree in a STEM discipline
Experience relating to system engineering, software engineering, or system integration and test
Candidate must have an Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance with investigation within the last 6 years.
This position requires the candidate to obtain Special Program Access prior to commencement of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Program Access
Experience in several of the following areas: air vehicle lab testing, flight controls testing in lab environment, leadership experience; systems development experience; knowledge of architectures, Mission Systems, Mission Planning, Communications, Data links, Computer networks, Sensors, Avionics, COTS hardware, Integration, and/or Test
Experience testing manned or unmanned aircraft (via labs, ground or flight testing) or similar system test experience
Knowledge of automated software testing methodologies and processes
Demonstrated ability to meet very short deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Knowledge of the following tools, DOORS®, ViTech CORE, Fundamentals of Systems Engineering, VISIO®, CPLM, and Automated Testing (Python, C++, Java).
Lab Test experience with air vehicle testing, Failure Modes and Effects (FMET), vehicle management system testing, fuel, flight controls testing, or actuator testing.
