Apply now for the position of Software Engineer, OS Infrastructure. We are looking for candidates with expertise in Windows (and others) OS Infrastructure services and low-level communication services. Examples of areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

Start Date: January 2025
Your role: You will measure and optimize application performance using tools like Windows Performance Monitor, Process Explorer, and Event Viewer to identify and resolve bottlenecks in CPU, memory, and disk I/O.You will troubleshoot and optimize MSMQ-based communications, addressing issues like message queue bottlenecks, latency, and resource consumption to improve application performance and system efficiency.Designing projects: Create roadmaps to meet goals.Technical support: Investigation of field issues.Security: Ensure the security of operating environments and implement security measures like firewalls, authentication, and encryption.Compliance: Ensure that current systems comply with government regulations.Disaster recovery: Develop and test disaster recovery plans.Documentation: Prepare software and hardware documentation.Performance monitoring: Monitor system and network performance metrics.Code reviews.Quality assurance: Conduct quality assurance processes to ensure best practices are used.Software and hardware assessment: Assess software and hardware for update requirements and implement them when necessary.Your expertise: Majors: BS/MS – Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or similar.10+ years of experience, preferably in the Medical Device or other Healthcare sector.Familiar with low-level debugging tools such as WinDbg.Understand .NET runtime (for C# code) and code optimization for performance and low latency.Understand .NET multi-threading design patterns, such as task and async.Experience in creating Secured Windows Image.Knowledge in C# and C++.Expertise in Group policy and local system level security policies.Experience in working with Driver integration and BSOD analysis.Experience configuring Anti-virus and white listing components.Knowledge in routing and Windows firewall.Work Authorization: Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required.Who we are: We are a team of more than 71,000 highly dedicated Healthineers in more than 70 countries. The pay range for this position in Westchester County, NY or NYC is $116,400 - $160,000 U.S. dollars annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as where the work will be performed. The annual incentive target is (8%) of base pay.
