Official Position Description : Performs more complex assignments in multiple real estate acquisition & property management disciplines (e.g., reviews right- of-way plans & legal descriptions; researches real estate records for ownership, prepares title reports & performs closings; prepares appraisal reports for properties being acquired &/or performs appraisal review; determines comparable dwelling & benefits by searching the market for relocation of property occupants &/or reviews relocation activities; reviews consultant acquisition files for compliance for State & Local Public Agencies (LPA) projects; coordinates, prepares, reviews & arranges documents (e.g., highway access modifications, vacations of easements, disposal by auction of excess land parcels or structure sales, preparation of conveyance instruments & collections of proceeds)). Utilizes computer & related software (e.g., Enterprise Information Management System (EIMS), ELLIS, Paradox, Real Estate Operating System (REAL OS), to assure accurate & timely updating of management information systems as they relate to real estate program delivery. Assures business rules, policies & procedures are implemented, used & maintained as standard business practice in the designated work environment.


Prepares letters, memorandums & reports on project status/assignments using computer & related software programs (e.g., Microsoft Word & Excel); monitors project work plan & advises supervisor; attends right-of-way plan reviews, coordinates acquisition scoping meetings with consultants; maintains project records & files; assists in development & preparation of preliminary needs & feasibility studies to determine future improvements. Travels to visit property owners, conducts real estate research activities & conducts project site inspections.


Performs miscellaneous duties to facilitate operational efficiency of work unit (e.g., assists in utility & real estate functions, participates in public meetings, maintains inventory of excess lands in district; responds to inquiries &/or complaints from public & governmental officials in person, by telephone &/or in writing using computer & related software (e.g., Microsoft Word)). Attends in-service training/seminars to keep abreast of changes in policies & procedures.
Qualifications 3 yrs. trg. or 3 yrs. exp. in licensed real estate sales or real estate property management which included basic real estate principles & practices & real estate law commensurate with disciplines utilized in position to be filled; must be able to provide own transportation.
