Sports Camp Videographer Job Description

Academy Camps is an overnight sports-specific sleepaway experience that takes place on the campuses Blair Academy (NJ) and Suffield Academy (CT).
We are looking for an experienced Sports Videographer to be a member of our media team to help tell our camp story and create content.
This position is for our 2025 summer season and is available on both campuses.
Who we are
Academy Camps is a modern approach to the sports camp experience.
We offer 1- and 2-week sessions for Boys & Girls aged 10 - 15 interested in baseball, basketball, field hockey, football, golf, lacrosse, running, soccer, softball, squash, swimming, tennis & volleyball.
Our campers choose one of our 13 "Academy Sports" and receive 2 intensive training sessions per day with our high-performance coaching staff.
We are a dedicated team of high performance coaches, nurturing & exemplary counselors, and experienced camp professionals, passionate about the 'whole athlete'.
Outside of sports specific training sessions, AC is distinguished in delivering programming focused on its pillars of Performance, Wellness, Mindset, and Leadership mixed in with a healthy dose of fun through a daily schedule of traditional sleepaway camp activities.
Position
As a member of the AC Team, the Videographer will be responsible for capturing daily video content in order to create highlight clips throughout all three summer sessions.
The role involves capturing footage during our two Sports Training Sessions, our elective period, and the evening activity periods and editing footage throughout the day.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Capture & create three different types of clips per session:Daily Highlight Clips - 30-45 seconds Highlighting the day's programming, primarily focused on the sports training sessions and the evening activities (like the AC Cup)Session Highlight Videos - 90-120 secondsTaking the best moments of the Daily Highlight Clips for that 2-week sessionSummer 2024 Highlight Video - 2-3 minutes Taking the best moments from the 3 session highlight videos to create an end of summer recap videoAll video clips can be streamed and showcased to the full camp audience at mealtimes (for daily clips) or at an end of camp event (for the session highlight video) and will be posted to social mediaPrepare for, accept feedback, and constructively problem-solve during supervision sessions Your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities A background in sports videography with a dedication to high standardsDrive to complete work efficiently to meet daily deadlinesOwnership or access to professional grade video and editing equipment, preferred but not requiredSelf-motivated, strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities at onceAn excellent relationship builder - quick to connect, build trust, and rapportA creative problem-solver - proactive, anticipates problems, and asks for help when neededA growth mindset - an orientation towards learning and development; willing to receive and implement feedback and learn from mistakes Expectations, Compensation, and Benefits Available and on-site for the dates of the full summer session including staff pre-season training and post-camp: June 14 - August 3The AC compensation package is competitive and is commensurate with skills and experience.
Compensation for a full summer commitment is $3,000 - 5,000 and includes room and board.
Travel stipends are provided to support relocation.Room and board included on-site at our campus with access to state-of-the-art athletic facilities and highly rated dining services, providing a seamless and immersive staff experience.
