The Sr. Account Executive is responsible for identifying strategic initiatives and recommending AORN resources that align with the industry partner's objectives. AORN's product/service offerings currently available for the industry segment include, but are not limited to: conducting market research, education grant for a specific project (tool kits, webinars etc.), sponsorship opportunities at Expo, corporate support for all clinical programs, workshops and advertising. This position requires an in depth knowledge of health care industry sales and marketing strategies, with the ability to identify the unmet needs of the customer and to tailor a portfolio of AORN products/services to meet those needs.
AORN is based in Denver, CO. Our Sr. Account Executive will work remotely.
More about what you'll get to do as our Sr. Account Executive: Build strategic relationships with key decision makers within the industry segment to understand specific needs and initiatives. Seek out and cultivate relationships and business opportunities with diverse clientele, including small consulting or start-up companies to large multinational healthcare organizations that have an interest in AORN's mission and values. Serve as primary contact to assigned key accounts to determine the company's priorities and to provide them with updates regarding AORN's resources that may align with their initiatives. Collaborate in coordinating and participate in corporate visits for key accounts with AORN Inc, Pfiedler Education and the AORN Foundation. Responsible for the achievement of both independent and group sales goals and assists the VP with the development of goals consistent with AORN budgetary expectations. Identify and communicate topics of interest and new products being developed to AORN staff in the AORN Foundation, Nursing Practice and Nursing Education. Identify new AORN product opportunities by collecting industry feedback resulting from conference calls and recommend new and innovative ways that AORN can create valuable offerings for them to gain their support/funding; report findings back to AORN team. Develop a comprehensive consultative plan, providing the client with specific details of all appropriate Association products and services; establish AORN as an indispensable component of their go-to-market plans. Responsible for follow up on action items from industry meetings to assure that successful execution of any agreed upon activities is met. Screen industry calls and emails from unsolicited or new accounts to determine the opportunity for a higher level of engagement with AORN. Be aware of AORN Guideline review schedule and communicate opportunities to industry for public comment. Contribute to the development of all Industry segment sales tools and website design. Assist in additional projects or duties that are consistent with the mission of the Industry Segment team. Creativity, flexibility, persistence and a high level of integrity. Perform other duties as assigned. Must Have's to be our Sr. Account Executive: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a related field 6+ years medical device sales experience; track record of sales success in healthcare industry. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA preferred Sales experience and understanding of the medical device industry including the perioperative environment preferred Experience that demonstrates the ability to establish relationships and execute sales by telephone and electronic communications Experience and strong proficiency with standard business software and tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) as well as Salesforce or other similar CRM application KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to present AORN professionally to medical device companies Strong follow-up skills Assertively builds relationships and takes initiative on projects with a sense of urgency Strong customer service orientation, communication and strategic selling skills Proven ability to consistently achieve and exceed business/sales goals Ability to identify, seek and secure new business Excellent presentation and communication skills Strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to collaborate and build relationships at all levels of the organization. Ability to work with diverse clientele, from small consulting or start-up companies to large multinational health care organizations Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with internal teams at AORN Inc., AORN Foundation, Pfiedler Education and Outpatient Surgery Division.  Ability to demonstrate and hold others accountable for organizational values of: Innovation, Communication, Quality, Diversity, Equity and inclusion, and Achievement. Hiring Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 + 2% sales commission
