Shift:This is a Fly-In, Fly-Out camp-based position working on a 7x7 rotation (Tuesday - Tuesday), flying out of Calgary or Edmonton.
*Please note, this is a 12-month contract position with compensation as a straight hourly rate. There is the opportunity for contract renewal.
Your day-to-day will include: Demonstrate and lead a strong safety culture within MEG Energy's organization.Direct, supervise and support construction activities performed by contractors.Oversee and coordinate the task execution of multiple contractors.Participate in key design reviews and provide expert knowledge.Assist in developing contracting strategies and detailed execution plans.Develop close working relationships with all contractors' disciplines.Liaise with Operations or Commissioning staff to ensure turnovers are executed effectively.Find opportunities to advance schedules by coordinating activities.Ensure all Hold and Witness points for construction are executed consistently.Execute responsibilities for safety incident management when required.Supervise construction productivity and review work accomplished by contractors.Prepare progress reports and forecasts.Coordinate and monitor rental equipment needs for each contractor.Perform other general supervisory functions as directed.What you will bring to MEG: A Red Seal Steamfitter/Pipefitter Journeyman Certification.CET Designation from an accredited institution.Experience in safety leadership on construction sites.Minimum of 10 years' experience with coordinating field construction projects.Familiarity with all phases of field-based construction and jobsite management.Experience with Construction Management on projects over $100 million.Working knowledge of relevant Regulations and Codes.Strong leadership and collaboration skills.Excellent analytical and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.At MEG, our employees are committed to: Safety - Foundational in everything we do.Being Local & Committed to Our Community - Supporting our local communities.Big Ideas Creating Opportunities - Empowering creative ideas.If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to build a career in an innovative organization, please submit your resume by clicking on Apply.
