Sr. Director, Accounting & Reporting

Position Description:
Working for the Chief Accounting Officer, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Company's Financial reporting, SEC filings and technical accounting workstreams, working collaboratively with corporate and Opco finance teams, and playing a key role in the planning, development, and implementation of a variety of key accounting and reporting initiatives. Career progression opportunities exist within the corporate finance group as well as within the finance groups of our OpCos. 
Candidate Profile and Responsibilities:
Lead the company's financial reporting processes, including management reporting and SEC filings, including the consolidations process.   

Supervise Free Cash Flow reporting constructs using the direct and indirect cash flow methods  

Maintain the company's accounting policies, updating as relevant for new FASB or SEC guidance and supporting application efforts throughout the organization.  Serve as a key point of contact for technical accounting inquiries across the company   

Lead role in executing the external audit to ensure an efficient and effective outcome.   

Partner with corporate development to provide accounting analysis and guidance as requested during diligence for acquisitions, equity investments and divestments.   

Lead the accounting integration workstream for M&A activity, including oversight of the purchase price allocation and opening balance sheet, accounting policy alignment, and  integration of accounting processes and controls 

Lead a variety of technical accounting work, including but not limited to annual impairment testing, lease accounting, valuation, cycle count programs, diluted share calculations and stock-based compensation.   

Support SOX efforts at the Opcos and at Corporate to ensure a strong control environment.   

Qualifications
Our successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, intellectually curious, and have a strong work ethic, in addition to being a self-starter with the bandwidth to manage competing priorities and work on several key projects at a given time. Further, our successful candidate will have the ability to participate in spirited give-and-take discussions and be a team player who will "do what it takes" to get the job done. It is important that our candidate have strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at multiple levels throughout our organization, including the company's CFO, Chief Accounting Officer, and OpCo leadership. To be a good fit for this opportunity, you will also have/be: 
BS or BA Degree in Finance or Accounting and a CPA designation 

10+ years of relevant experience 

Solid technical background in US GAAP, SOX, SEC reporting requirements, and ability to research, understand and communicate complex technical issues in an effective manner 

Operate in a way that never compromises ethics and integrity 

Detail-oriented with the objective of consistently delivering high quality work products, while being able to step back to see the big picture 

Strong global business perspective with understanding of a multinational organization with multiple business units is preferred 

Customer focused in providing timely and accurate financial information to internal stakeholders 

Process-oriented with an ability to communicate goals, accomplishments, and next steps at all stages of a project 

Ability to assess the impact of new accounting pronouncements on the Company's consolidated financial statements in an accurate and timely manner 

Have strong quantitative and analytical skills as well as excellent written, oral, and presentation skills 

Be comfortable working in a high-energy, quickly changing, and dynamic environment
