The Opportunity A challenging and engaging Sr. Laboratory Technician position is available in the Oligonucleotide Manufacturing Group for enthusiastic individuals with a scientific/technical background. As Sr Lab Tech you will perform oligonucleotide synthesis using Automated Synthesizers, Cleavage and Deprotection using benchtop chemistry, analytical testing and various other manufacturing procedures. Position offers excellent potential for long term career growth.
Also, you are:
Performing oligonucleotide synthesis and characterization using technical instrumentation by following departmental work instructions, SOP's, OSHA safety regulations, and cGMPs to perform assigned tasks. Overseeing production and production support duties for Operations and ensure quality of production and lab testing processed by the department. Recording methods, materials, and results in batch records, according to established formats Monitor and oversee lab supply inventory, generate expense purchase requisitions, if applicable, input production data and other work-output data into appropriate network (e.g. SAP / LIMS) and maintain documentation in accordance with established procedures. Interfacing with internal groups for projects, activities and initiatives and to assuring laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration and documents conform with established practices.   Managing schedules, and workload and establishing priorities using inputs from business requirements, SAP, and/or internal customer needs. Responding effectively to changing priorities, and scheduling work effectively to ensure that current and future needs are met.  Completes other duties as assigned by management.  Who you are You hold an Associate Degree. Scientific major preferred. An equivalent mix of education and experience. (Bachelor's degree preferred. Chemistry or Biochemistry major preferred.) You have 2-4 year's industry experience Ability to perform tasks in the manufacturing laboratories. Wear personal protective equipment such as eye and foot protection, lab coat, gloves. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of New Jersey is 48,000 - 89,200.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
