Sr. Product Manager, Cloud Storage Platforms LOCATION: Hybrid in Boulder, Colorado (3 days a week in the office)

Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management, you will be a key player on Spectra's Product Management team driving innovation and market adoption of our backup and archive solutions. As the champion and evangelist for Spectra's cloud storage platforms, you will be responsible for the platform strategy, product roadmap and coordination of all internal and external messaging for your products. Working with leaders across the company, you will define and direct the build of new features and improvements in the quality of existing features.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Working closely with Sales, Solution Architects, Engineering and Marketing to define and create new "hybrid" cloud storage solutions, enhance existing solutions and drive product strategy for Spectra's backup and archive storage appliance family of products.Engaging with key/strategic OEM partners and suppliers to ensure adequate technology support during product design and development.Driving vendor selection, including negotiating contracts and pricing with key suppliers, and serving as the product management interface for Spectra and these key partners/suppliers.Driving the next-generation platform strategy at Spectra.Reviewing functional and related specifications and plans with engineering, solution architects and other involved stakeholders, to ensure scope and accuracy of product development for targeted release.Working closely with the Spectra platform engineering teams (development and test) to define, develop and qualify the next generation of Spectra cloud storage platforms.Building and maintaining product roadmap(s) for Spectra cloud storage platforms solutions including writing product requirements, reviewing roadmaps with internal stakeholders on a regular basis and prioritizing features that are aligned to business objectives.Managing product schedules to ensure on-time / on-quality product introduction.Conducting New Product Introduction (NPI) cross-functional meetings for delivery of new solutions to market, ensuring "whole-product" product introduction success across engineering, support, marketing, solution architects, sales, etc.Evangelizing the capabilities of Spectra cloud storage products and solutions with internal (sales, marketing, exec-team,) and external (channel partners, technology partners, vendors, etc.) audiences.Developing internal and external facing product and solution documentation, market requirements documents, product strategy presentations, datasheets, tech-specs and customer/opportunity solution-focused presentations.Pro-actively providing product training to Marketing, Solution Architects, Sales teams and C-level audience to help communicate Spectra solution differentiation, value proposition and go-to-market details.WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience. Master's degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Science desirable.Minimum of 10 years of product management or engineering experience in hardware platforms and/or systems engineering with specific backup/archive, cloud storage and/or infrastructure experience desired.Specific experience with primary and/or secondary NAS, SAN or Object storage systems preferred.Experience collaborating with engineering/technical teams utilizing Agile software development methodologies.Demonstrated strong business skills in managing profitable growth of products/solutions.Experience with and knowledge of technical marketing, systems engineering, software engineering, requirements definition, software product packaging and subscription-licensing models and pricing.Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to crisply articulate both revolutionary and evolutionary ideas to a variety of audiences that could be technical or non-technical, including C-level executives, architects and sales teams.Evidence of a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with little supervision.A team player who works collaboratively with executives, managers and employees.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Ability to work in a fast-paced, business environment where a roll-up-your-sleeves approach is required.COMPENSATION:Base salary range: $180,000 to $210,000 annually. While this salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, a candidate's actual salary will be competitive based on a variety of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, experience and location. In addition, this position is eligible to receive incentive compensation based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved. Stock options will also be granted.
