UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a talented Sr. Technical Writer, Cloud Consultant to join our Product Technology team.?As a Senior Technical Writer, you will serve as a subject matter expert in support of the IT engineering teams to develop processes, procedures, and engineering related guides. The Technical Writer is responsible for producing clear and comprehensive technical documentation, utilizing strong technical writing skills.
The role will support a federal agency and require US citizenship and a Federal background investigation. Hybrid Schedule, Partial Telework: This position requires 3 days per week in Arlington, VA. Expected to return to office 4-5 days per week in 2025.

\n Work You'll Do: Technical Writing: - Documentation Creation: Produce clear, accurate, and well-structured technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, guides, best practices, and standard operating procedures. - User Guides: Develop user-friendly guides and manuals for cloud-based products and services, targeting both technical and non-technical audiences. - API Documentation: Create detailed high-quality conceptual and API reference documentation in XML, Markdown, and reStructured Text for developers, ensuring it is comprehensive and easy to understand. - Version Control: Maintain and update documentation as cloud technologies evolve, utilizing version control systems and documentation tools. - Content Review: Review and edit documentation created by others for consistency, clarity, and accuracy. Cross-training and program support will be requiredSupport a variety of technical writing and administrative tasks What You Have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technical Writing, Data Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred). 5+ years of experience producing technical documentation for a technical audience Proven experience as a Technical Writer in an IT or InfoSec related programExcellent technical writing and documentation skills, with a portfolio showcasing cloud-related documentation is preferredProficiency in documentation tools leveraging Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Adobe productsAbility to interact with a teamStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Preferred Skills: Strong technical communication skills.Ability to work with network, system, and security engineers to articulate technical terms, so it is understandable to a general layperson. Understanding of technical terms, both pertaining to networking and cybersecurity.
