This position is responsible for the overall operation, organization and precision of the storeroom, which includes ordering equipment parts and supplies. The position will order, receive and inventory parts, perform cycle counts, inventories, provide communication to supervisor/manager, and utilize equipment to move inventory to correct bins.
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment.
2. Request quotes and/or bids, order and process request for minor (less than $5,000) purchases with equipment parts and supplies.
3. Reviews costs of repeat purchases with multiple vendors where applicable.
4. Receives, labels and puts away parts in the storeroom.
5. Receives parts and supplies from receiving personnel and vendors.
6. Performs cycle counts as required.
7. Performs inventory counts and periodic audits, noting defects with counts and any quality concerns.
8. Reviews issues sheet and communicates with supervisor/manager any concerns.
9. Investigates inventory shortages and discrepancies using SAP and PEMAC and providing feedback of root cause with issue sheet.
10. Enters data into computer systems.
11. Processes repair items including sending them out and receiving them back into SAP system and PEMAC.
12. Processes returns if necessary.
13. Operates lift truck to move, consolidate, load, or unload materials for better inventory management.
14. Maintains a clean and orderly Storeroom.
15. Completes special projects/assignments as needed.
16. Participates in continuous improvement activities within inventory control process.
17. Processes overnight mail services (i.e. UPS, FEDEX, etc.) for engineering and maintenance.
18. Assists/trains storeroom users in proper procedures (e.g. looking up parts, finding locations, issuing parts and returning parts)
19. Processes emergency parts request to support production and maintenance (e.g. locally and overnighted)
20. Leads biannual inventories
21. Sets up new parts in SAP and PEMAC and submits request to KIL Master Data.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required, plus at least three (3) years' of experience in a manufacturing or maintenance. Must have strong math, time management, organization, and computer skills with SAP experience preferred. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must have:
· Strong working knowledge of business computer applications (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word). SAP or similar software experience preferred.

Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificate/License: Must have forklift operator license at time of hire/transfer, or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire/transfer into job.
