The ICS Strategy & Client Development team works closely with senior management across ICS and Wealth Management to grow assets, deepen client relationships and penetrate participants.As an Associate / Analyst in ICS Strategy and Client Development, you will be expected to support major projects with the goal of helping to both organically and inorganically grow and scale the ICS business, including the sourcing and execution of institutional acquisition targets, deepening client relationships and engaging participants.TheICS Strategy and Client Developmentteam works closely with senior management acrossICS and Wealth Management to analyze information, develop recommendations and drive change.Responsibilities would include conducting research, analyzing key business metrics and assisting in the development of strategic planning toward growth and the integration of new partners.We are seeking a candidate with ability to think analytically, be detail oriented, and has a team-based approach and entrepreneurial spirit, with interest on strategy or business management and developing understanding of the wealth management business.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES1) Overall Strategy·Assist with the M&A, strategy and execution for several critical projects to source and integrate new strategic partners, create new service offerings, and enhance internal processes for the institutional client segment·Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and emerging industry trends·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial, operational and strategic aspects of targets·Assist in the due diligence process including the review of legal, financial and operational documentation·Participate in the integration of acquired targets, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with the firm's strategic goals·Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop post-acquisition growth strategies and monitor the performance of acquired firms·Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and other stakeholders, summarizing key fundings and recommendations·Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to M&A activities·Support strategic organic and inorganic initiatives, including the sourcing and execution of institutional acquisition targets and pipeline reporting·Help facilitate deliverables across key partners within other groups in wealth management (Product, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology)2) Client Development and Participant Engagement·Assist in deepening client relationships and business development (including target selection & outreach, marketing / pitch development, developing connectivity within Morgan Stanley and participant penetration strategy·Engage with consultants / advisors to deliver Firm services and solutions such as financial wellness, equity compensation, Outsourced Chief Investment Office, banking and others·Develop participant engagement strategy and execute both internal and external ad-hoc requests·Undergraduate degree required·2+ years experience in financial services and/or business strategy & management and/or other related fields·Strong interpersonal and process management skills·High level of attention to detail·Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills·Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills·Proven success with multi-tasking and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously·Self-starter who will take initiative, learn quickly, and work independently·Team-oriented, with high level of administrative and interpersonal professionalismExpected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $110,000 per year at the commencement of employment.However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.Morgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
