The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves. This position supports the Executive Office to help enhance and support systems of strategy, decision making and communication within the Coalition. This role will work with the Executive Team and across the organization to support our full cycle of strategic development, execution and evaluation. Support organizational effectiveness, strategic plan, metrics, dashboards, and documentation.

Essential Job Functions Support for organizational strategy development, refinement, implementation Advise the CEO on strategies to accomplish the mission and goals of the Coalition. Evaluate existing strategies, recommend improvements, translate strategies into operational work, and monitor progress against goals. This includes working collaboratively with executive leadership and management on the development of the three-year strategic plan as well as producing quarterly progress reports and annual milestone reports. Work with the Executive Team to align organizational goals and activities with the strategic plan, analyze trends, identify growth opportunities, and assess risks. Assist with developing tools to evaluate organizational performance across diverse areas of our nonprofit business and workstreams. Draft written and presentation materials and create tracking tools related to strategic initiatives, goals and activities. Lead special projects on behalf of the CEO, as assigned. Support organizational excellence and impact Work directly with CEO and Executive Team to strengthen and articulate overall organizational excellence as well as operating in alignment with our Philosophy of Service and Mission. Support efforts to develop, refine, and implement strategy, improve operational performance and efficiency, and deepen external engagement and partnerships. Act as a thought partner to the CEO to drive innovative solutions to complex problems alongside the Executive Team. Assist with project management, documentation and communication needed for problem resolution. Strengthen executive and internal communication Support the CEO in preparation of materials for meetings and presentations with the Board, committees, leadership and management, and internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate agendas, materials for leadership meetings, collect and synthesize information, minutes and help standardize articulation and dissemination of decisions and key information for team, board and organizational communication, as appropriate. Develop and/or support appropriate tools, dashboards, and documentation for tracking purposes. Support prioritization of time of the Executive Office and follow-up needed for respective workstreams and initiatives. Coordinate and support one voice for the organization and align communicators and communication staff across the organization. Supervises other support staff as assigned within the Executive Office Qualifications Summary Knowledge of homeless issues and demonstrated sensitivity to underserved populations. Ability to track data, strong analytical skills, and aptitude in developing reports and presenting metrics and other materials. Exceptional leadership skills, and communication skills, both in writing and orally. Knowledge of non-profit organizational management practices, and business development principles, practices, and procedures. High degree of computer literacy (esp. Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, online learning management systems, networked systems, etc.). Skill in creating and delivering presentations (including remote) to groups (public speaking skills, graphic presentation skills, listening skills, etc.). Able to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously and independently. Assertive Communication, Critical Thinking skills, and the ability to engage in crucial conversations regarding justice, equity, inclusiveness, and diversity. Demonstrated ability to think and act strategically. Able to pass automobile insurance carrier's motor vehicle record investigation. Must have reliable means of transportation to satellite worksites.
